Your daughter should first know that it’s very important to understand the legal and correct way to tape a field hockey stick to get the best use and playing time using her specific field hockey stick. Find and buy a good brand of stick wax and rub it on the blade of the field hockey stick. This is to help the tape bond to the stick easier making it much smoother. This also prevents any water logging which preserves the tape longer.

Start wrapping the tape around the end of the blade potion and start to pull the wrap around at an angle. She will want to create the look of an overlap so that the “groove portion” of the stick face is as smooth as possible. Just be careful to make sure the tape goes on evenly while being flat.
